When you have a brick-and-mortar business, you want it to be warm and inviting while setting yourself apart from the competition or even just the stores nearby. Showcasing your wares to the world is part of your mission, but first, you have to get people through your front door. Continue reading to learn creative ways you can improve your storefront and bring more attention to your business.
Create a Welcoming Entrance
The front door is a portal to your establishment. To that end, it needs to be engaging and interesting while offering a seamless, albeit quick, experience that may go completely unnoticed by everyone.
Start by providing signage and a covering above the door. An awning is the perfect way to accomplish both goals at once. Look for an awning material supplier to find the right color combination that stands out from the other shops and blends in with your brand’s aesthetic. Emblazon the company name and store number in a large font on the awning. Not only will it look beautiful, but it will tell people where they need to go while providing coverage from the sun, rain, and snow.
Next, look down. If there is a step or protruding lip at the bottom of the door that could be a tripping hazard, have it repaired. Sometimes, a small ramp in place of a step is ideal, as it helps everyone enter easily and removes any bumps which will prevent accidents and potential lawsuits.
Add Greenery to the Storefront
Nothing is as inviting as flowers and well-maintained plants. Look for areas around the front of the store where you can add greenery. Install flower boxes below the windows and plant aromatic flowers that are easy to maintain, or opt for high-quality fake plants and flowers that look real.
